PAPER, FABRIC. COLLABORATIONS IN THE SPIRIT OF HARMONY

PAPER, FABRIC. COLLABORATIONS IN THE SPIRIT OF HARMONY

In Art with Art: every room becomes the perfect backdrop for our daily lives.

On our way to an ever more complete living concept, we have decided to extend our range to include wallpapers. This is a new addition to our catalogue driven by our desire to express the same excellence in wall coverings that guides all our work.

Thanks to the new collaboration with MaVoix, we have selected wallpapers designed by the eclectic artist Magnus Gjoen. He is an artist who finds his inspiration in classical art, successfully reinterpreting its iconic motifs by the addition of a sumptuous modernity.
‘Hidden in Plain Sight’, or ‘Paradis Perdu’, embody this approach: reworkings of great works of the past transformed by the artist's sensitivity into decorative motifs of exceptional elegance. These wallpapers are works of art themselves, adorning the walls with a presence of rare intensity.

In particular, the wallpaper ‘Hidden in Plain Sight’, which we showcased at the Salone del Mobile in Milan, is an elegant interplay of references starting with Tiepolo and referencing other immortal paintings.
Here, again, we chose a work inspired by the 18th century, this time from Venice. Magnus Gjoen's work provided the perfect backdrop for the refined sideboard with its grey Smoke, textured and velvety finish; for the superb Swan lamps, dating back to the Napolenic period; and for the mirrors with their finely carved and gilded frames.

In addition to the new MaVoix wallpapers, we would also like to note the importance of our long-standing collaboration with Rubelli. Their exquisite fabrics have always been a perfect complement to RG's upholstered furniture and interiors; they bring decorative, pictorial and sculptural motifs to our furnishings, standing out on the fabric just as they would on the canvas of an inspired painter.
