THE POWER OF MATERIALS AND PROPORTIONS
The series of panels and drawers of the sideboard in the Cuprum collection, enhanced by the brilliance of the thin copper outlines which frame and emphasise the perfect golden proportions, is a sculptural representation of the new RG trend concepts.
The copper, interacting with the dusty-pink finish, describes a refined graphic interplay which marks the rhythmic and regulated arrangement of the cabinet doors and the refined, slender drawers.
An austere black Marquinia top elegantly finishes the volume of this coveted object, nestled amongst the ancient stones of Fiesole's Roman theatre. The dystonic combination of stones and metals, of soft colours and harsh nuances, of exaggerated proportions and graphic contrasts is the new expressive code of RG, which finds the opportunity, in the combinations of apparently opposing elements, for new and unexplored contemporary languages of great vigour, to be mixed freely in living spaces of new elegance.
